They weren't the only people in the Americas.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-738615154541482932.post-76578362979019979662007-11-14T15:04:00.000-08:002007-11-14T15:04:00.000-08:00This was a very nice event, but was way under atte...This was a very nice event, but was way under attended, by both Jews and Mormons.

Mark Peredes did a great job. He is uniquely qualified for his position.

One interesting point of the evening, during the question and answer period, someone asked about the issue of blacks and the priesthood. Now that gets most of us wiggling if asked that in a public speech, but not Bro. Paredes. He said, "as you may have guessed I am half black" (I actually took him as a Lamanite), he told about his conversion and struggling with this issue before he served his mission, and how the Lord put his mind to rest.

The Rabbi was a very gracious host, and gave the Mormons a tour of the temple sanctuary (small “t”). It was very interesting.

I’m keeping an eye on Mark Peredes.

-DavidDavid Littlefieldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15369036998624269404noreply@blogger.com
