Tragedy and Hope

This site is dedicated to spiritual topics. But I am going to make an exception here. Well, maybe it’s not really an exception because this book helped me form my theological/political views of the last days.

I am talking about the book “Tragedy and Hope” by the late Professor Carroll Quigley, of Georgetown University.

It was hard to find and expensive. But, here it is in an html format (great for searching).

If you want to know what’s really going on in the world you need to read this book.

Here is the link: Tragedy and Hope.

And if you just can’t read such a monsterous sized book, read the light version: The Anglo-American Establishment.

Note: I do not share Quigly's values and I interpret the data differently than he does, he only explained what is happening, and defined who the real enemy is. Do you want to know who the members of the "secret combinations" are? They are not Masonry. Ether said, speaking to us:

"Wherefore, O ye Gentiles, it is wisdom in God that these things should be shown unto you, that thereby ye may repent of your sins, and suffer not that these murderous combinations shall get above you, which are built up to get apower and gain—and the work, yea, even the work of destruction come upon you, yea, even the sword of the justice of the Eternal God shall fall upon you, to your overthrow and destruction if ye shall suffer these things to be. Wherefore, the Lord commandeth you, when ye shall see these things come among you that ye shall awake to a sense of your awful situation, because of this asecret combination which shall be among you; or wo be unto it, because of the blood of them who have been slain; for they cry from the dust for vengeance upon it, and also upon those who built it up." Here is your chance to understand these verses.

I first became acquainted with Quigley's book through Cleon Skousen's review of it: The Naked Capitalist. Next time I heard of Quigley was through him being a professor of Bill Clinton. Moroni sure hit the nail on the head talking about those who would be out to take away our freedoms. Pity we did not listen.

Steve:

Tragedy and Hope is a long hard read, but well worth it.

I am going to see if I can find a google video of Clinton praising Quigley as his mentor at the democratic convention in Chicago.

And yes it is a pity!

I would like to know more about these secret combinations. Is the answer in Quigley's book?

Dear Vicki:

The short answer is yes. But it is a long hard read, and you can get lost in it if you don't know what you are looking for.

Appearing self serving, may I suggest that you first read my first book, "Kingdoms That Clash." This will prepare you to get what you need from Tragedy and Hope.

Here is the link to my book: KINGDOMS THAT CLASH. It is a free PDF or HTML.

Regards,

-David

I found this great post over at “Believe All Thing” regarding the topic of this post. It’s about Hugh Nibly’s insights into I.G. Farbins actions before and during the war.

Here is the link: IG FARBIN

Of course that’s just the tip of the iceberg. He did not even mention Senator Prescott Bush and his treasonous acts.

It would be hard to more grievously misinterpret the importance of Quigley's book. This is distressing to me, as this sort of misinterpretation was distressing to Quigley as well during his life. Please read my review of the book for a summary of the truly important points: http://branddenotes.blogspot.com/2010/04/book-review-tragedy-and-hope-by-carroll.html

I, too, was fascinated by reading Tragedy & Hope. I also read Skousen's book The Naked Capitalist along with Hayek's The Road to Serfdom and a number of left-leaning books as well. I have also followed the goups, as well as I could into our time. What Quigley taught is important for us right now! I have summed up my findings at stateofmankind.com.

He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead,
